Who Says Dogs Don't Have Feelings... :(

For days before Victoria's departure for Europe, Chi Chi was beside herself with grief. She would wrap herself around Vicky's ankles and cuddle up even closer in bed at night. Lulu went one step further and hid in her suitcase. Her little head looked so cute sticking up from beneath blue jeans and t-shirts. No such luck Lulu - we found you!

Friday the 13th was not such a great start for Vicky! We arrived at the airport to discover that her 11.00 flight to Vancouver had been cancelled. The 12.00 flight was already full with a waiting list. Considering Vicky's flight for London left at 2.00 and the gates closed at 1.05 p.m. in Vancouver - things were not looking good. I made a fuss - as only mothers do. In fairness to Vicky - she handled it all like the little lady that she is - with calm determination. She took it upon herself to ask people on the 12.00 p.m. if they would swap with her for the 12.30 flight. Then the airline offered a free lunch to whoever would swap. For my part I prayed my guts out to the powers that be in heaven. We left the airport not knowing if she would get on the 12.00 flight. In addition she had to check her bags onto the London flight, which would add more stress to her journey.

Thank goodness for blackberry phones. Claudia kept in constant contact with Vicky as we drove back into town. I prayed and Claudia texted. Then just as we were passing St. Andrew's Cathedral at 11.40 Claudia roared "YEAH! she got on!" I couldn't get down on my knees and thank God as I was driving, but they sure knew I appreciated them taking us out of a very tight spot!

I went back into the office to catch up on work and Claudia had some errands to do. Then it was back home as I had Don my computer man coming to fix the printer up to my new gorgeous Green Goddess Sony laptop. Just as I got in the door, I heard Lulu moaning outside. Can you believe she had been locked out in the back for all the time we were away! Friday the 13th wasn't good for her either! She was starving and shaking in terror and after she had gobbled up a bowl of dog food, she raced up to my bed and went under the duvet.

As Don was sorting out my computer I had an unexpected call from Shirley a lady who had bought my book 'Children of the Stars'. She wants me to appear on her radio show next Saturday the 21st. It is a program for parents. I have never been on the radio before so it should be fun and a new experience. I will have a half an hour to talk child astrology and my book! As well as that good news, I had a nice cheque from Bolen's Book shop paying me for the books they had sold. So as always, Friday the 13th was good for me! I must be the only person in the world who likes Friday the 13th. I dropped off some books at a new age store here in Victoria and the owner Val gave me some free tickets to an energy expo. this weekend.

All was well until I went to bed this evening. I had a job trying to catch Chi Chi. She went under Vicky's bed and would not come out. I could not sleep thinking of how miserable and sad she was without Vicky so I went back in and caught her by the collar and she was crying. Her little eyes were wet with tears - I kid you not! I brought her into our bedroom and cuddled and hugged her for a while. Then come 3.00 a.m. she started howling like a bleedin' banshee. We could not sleep - What a night!

This morning the sun was shining. I dropped Claudia off to her Drivewise driving school for the day where she will learn how to be as good a driver as her mum! I went home and brought Chi Chi and Lulu for a fabulous long walk to their favourite place - Government House where Charles and Camilla stayed when they visited Victoria. They love it there because the lamp posts and trees have a very high class aroma. Only pure breds pee at Government House.

Now Chi Chi is all happy again. She knows I feel sorry for her so she is milking it for all it is worth! She has put on 10 lbs. since Vicky left yesterday. She is such an emotional eater. She'll be fine...

But NOT US!! We all watched the Eurovision this evening. NOOOOOOOO
Jedward did not win for Ireland! They came in 7th. Boo Hoo! We loved Spain's song and they didn't do well at all which was surprising. I also loved Italy's song. They came second but should have won.

No more news this end. Thankfully Chi Chi has settled down again. Poor little thing. She just loves Vicky and misses her so much - as we all do!

If you are reading this in England Vicky - HAVE A GREAT HOLIDAY - and don't worry, Chi Chi is doing o.k. She had a t-bone steak, croquette potatoes and a pint of Guinness for supper. She'll be fine! Don't worry. Tomorrow we'll bring her to the Empress Hotel for sniffs.

Love y'all!

Cheery Bye Bye,

Delisha xxx
